Back to Work

I just realized today it has been a LONG time since I've written an update on here, but with good reason of course. Last Friday the 13th (ironic, yes) I returned to work. UGH! It was the day I dreaded since, well, before Evan was even born. It was not something I wanted to do, rather something I had to do. It's hard to leave my child each morning to go take care of other people's children. But, we are very lucky - Rick's sister, Lisa, moved in with us and is watching Evan while we are at work. It makes the siutation much easier. Also, knowing that there's less than two months until summer vacation is the light at the end of the tunnel.

Evan continues to grow quickly. He is becoming very strong. When he's in the swing, he is starting to lift his upper body up as if he wants to sit up on his own. He also has incredible head control, so we started placing him in the Exersaucer and Bumbo seat. He looks so cute sitting all by himself! Sleep is still an issue getting a little better. Most nights he'll sleep about 4 hours at a time, which is much better than the 2-3 that he was doing just a few weeks ago. The biggest change is the use of his hands. They are constantly in his mouth. He has found his thumb, but instead of sucking it, he just gnaws on it. He has also been drooling a lot. This just started about a week or two ago. Is this the sign that teething is beginning??
