It's going to be a little while longer until I post again. Life is just too crazy right now with the end of the school year and everything else that is going on. I am officially finished with school on June 9 so I hope to get back to blogging soon after that.
I know I started my other blog that was going to have stories from my teaching adventures. However, keeping up with 2 blogs just has not been in the cards for me. So, I thought I would mention this on here. Our school district has recently enabled us to create podcasts. Pretty cool, right? One of the nursery rhymes we've been learning is Jack Be Nimble, so of course my students had the opportunity to jump over a "candlestick". I took a picture of each student doing that, then added our voices in (unfortunately my voice dominates the recording), combined the 2, and voila... a podcast! By the way, if you ever have the chance to use Garage Band on a Mac, check it out. It is very cool! Here's the link to my podcast if you're interested: http://web.me.com/ksd140/D140_Podcasts/Repking.html.
Directly next to our driveway we have a large tree that blooms white flowers every spring. It does look really pretty, but after that I hate the tree. The flowers fall down quickly and are a nightmare to deal with. They end up everywhere - on our cars, in the garage, dragged into the house on our shoes - you get the picture. Recently our tree bloomed as it always does, and then last night we had quite a bit of rain and wind which of course knocked the flowers off the tree. When we opened the front door this morning, Evan looked out and said, "Look, snow!" I wish I had taken a picture because the ground surrounding the tree was covered in white.
